Want more people to find your business on Google?

SEO is about improving the things that help search engines understand your business, your website, your services and where you operate.

SEO is quoted per project based on what your website actually needs.

We start with the website itself.

Before producing hundreds of blog posts or chasing backlinks, it is worth making sure the website is technically sound.

A good SEO foundation means search engines can access the site, understand its pages and work out what the business actually offers.

We build websites to be fast.

Caerus websites are deliberately lightweight. For a straightforward business website, there is little reason to load dozens of unnecessary scripts, plugins and frameworks just to display text, photos and an enquiry form.

Our static website builds can score 100/100 in PageSpeed Insights performance testing when the page, assets and testing conditions allow it.

A perfect score is not a ranking guarantee. The point is a website that loads quickly for real customers and does not carry unnecessary technical weight.

PageSpeed Insights100Performance is tested per page and can vary.

Every page should tell search engines what it's about.

A title like “Services | Company” does not tell a search engine very much. A descriptive title tied to the page topic is much clearer.

We look at title tags, meta descriptions, visible headings, URLs and whether the actual page content supports what the metadata says.

Give search engines structured information too.

Structured data gives search engines additional machine-readable information about what is on a page.

Where appropriate, Caerus can implement JSON-LD structured data for the business or organisation, website information, services, breadcrumbs, articles, FAQs and other supported content types.

{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "Organization",
  "name": "Caerus",
  "url": "https://caerusconnect.co.nz"
}

Structured data does not automatically improve rankings or guarantee a rich result. It makes eligible information clearer to machines.

For local businesses, location matters.

If you're a roofer in Auckland, you probably don't care whether somebody in Invercargill can find you. You want to be visible when people in the areas you actually service search for roofing.

Local SEO can involve Google Business Profile work, website location information, service pages, useful location pages, business citations, genuine reviews, internal linking and local content.

The goal is to make the relationship between the business, its services and the places it genuinely serves easy to understand.

Make the business consistent around the web.

For local businesses, there are places outside your own website where the business should be represented correctly: useful business directories, industry listings, maps/business platforms, trade associations, social profiles and other relevant NZ listings.

Caerus can help identify worthwhile citation opportunities and keep important business details consistent.

Twenty relevant, accurate business listings are more useful than bragging about submitting your company to hundreds of junk directories nobody uses.

Your Google Business Profile matters too.

For many local businesses it is one of the first things a potential customer sees.

Business information

Core details should be accurate and consistent.

Categories

Use categories that genuinely describe the business.

Services & areas

Make the service offering and coverage clear.

Photos

Use real business and project imagery where possible.

Reviews

Build genuine customer feedback rather than manufactured proof.

Website alignment

The profile and website should tell the same story.

Don't squeeze every service onto one page.

If a roofing company provides roof repairs, roof replacements, commercial roofing, asbestos roofing and roof coatings, there may be good reasons for those services to have individual pages.

That gives customers more useful information and gives search engines clearer pages to understand. The same service pages can also become stronger destinations for Google Ads campaigns.

Build useful local pages, not hundreds of copies.

Location pages can make sense for businesses genuinely serving multiple areas. What we do not want is the same 300 words copied across dozens of pages with only the suburb name changed.

A worthwhile local page should contain useful information relevant to the service area and fit naturally into the wider website.

SEO content doesn't have to mean writing a blog every Tuesday.

For many small businesses, the best content opportunities are sitting inside questions customers already ask.

A roofer might answer: how much does a roof replacement cost, how long does a reroof take, what are the signs a roof needs replacing, or what happens with an asbestos roof.

The goal is not to publish words because “Google likes content”. It is to create useful pages around things potential customers are already trying to understand.

Search is changing too.

People do not only find businesses through a traditional list of search results anymore. Search engines and AI products increasingly interpret websites and structured information to answer questions.

There is no magic “AI SEO” switch. The fundamentals still matter: clear business information, well-structured pages, useful content, descriptive headings, strong internal links, appropriate structured data and consistent information around the web.

We structure websites so both people and machines can clearly understand what the business is, what it does and where it operates.

SEO work based on what your site actually needs.

SEO projects are quoted individually because the amount of work depends on the website, market and goal.

You don't need a Caerus website.

We can review and work on existing websites too. If the site has a solid foundation, there is no reason to rebuild it just so we can do SEO.

If there are technical limitations that genuinely make the work difficult, we'll explain them. If you do need a replacement, Caerus websites start at $300 + GST.

SEO takes time.

Google Ads can start putting a business into paid search results relatively quickly. SEO generally does not work like that.

Changes need to be crawled and processed, competition matters, authority develops over time and nobody controls Google's rankings. Caerus does not guarantee #1 rankings, a particular traffic increase or “page one in 30 days”.

We improve the things within our control and measure what happens.

Yes. You do not need a Caerus-built website.
